GATE Seminar
Seminar students can be atypical learners who require programs significantly differentiated from the mainstream learners and the typical GATE cluster programs in order to feel comfortable with themselves and their differences and to develop their exceptional potential.
The SDUSD Seminar Program is intended to serve varied students who fit one or more of these criteria:
- Need an extraordinarily high-level, advanced, and challenging curriculum
- Have extremely high tested ability but low school achievement
- Are divergent thinkers and "march to the beat of a different drummer"
A Short Guide to the GATE Seminar Program:
*FYI Hearst does not currently have any Seminar classes, as we do not have enough students who qualified, but all of our upper grade teachers are GATE certified, and offer a world-class experience to all of our students.
